KARIN RANTSCHL-SCHWAIGER

Magistra der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften, liebt die Sprache als Ausdrucksmittel und hat die Country Music in ihrer Zeit als Austauschstudentin in Los Angeles kennen- und lieben gelernt. Sie ist "allergisch" auf banale Texte und liebt Sprachen, im besonderen die englische.

Als Ehefrau, Managerin, Texterin, Organisatorin und Duettpartnerin versucht Karin, TEX's Kreativität in Bahnen zu lenken, ihn zu motivieren und das Ergebnis in klingende Münze umzusetzen. Sie ist TEX's größter Fan aber auch seine ausdauerndste Kritikerin.

TEX hat in seinem Domizil Gmunden zusammen mit Karin mittlerweile eine Reihe von interessanten Eigenkompositionen herausgebracht, die auf ihren CDs zu hören sind, die seit 1995 erschienen sind. 

Sein Repertoire reicht von traditionellen Folk- und Country Songs über eigene Arrangements bis hin zu "New Country-Interpretationen".

Sein Einfühlungsvermögen und seine Musikalität zeigen sich vor allem bei langsamen, anspruchsvollen Nummern und bei gefühlvollen Duetts und berühren das Publikum auf besondere Weise.

Tex Robinson was born in 1958.

His father is the Austrian Country Music Pioneer BILL HERMS.
After having graduated from a higher commercial school ( the "Handelsakademie" ) he joined the Austrian Army and left the "Bundesheer" ten years later as First Lieutenant, to dedicate his life to "his music"- to Country Music.
At the age of ten TEX came in touch with Country Music. He started to perform together with his father soon after that.
TEX was one of the founders of the "Saltcastle Bullwashers", with whom he toured the country as their lead singer, and also recorded his first three albums on compact disc.
Since 1993, he has performed with his own musical group, known as TEX ROBINSON & Friends.

TEX, the tall man with the great voice is well known in the Austrian Country Music scene. He interprets traditional Folk and Country songs, and his own arrangements of titles that are in the American Charts. He also loves to sing Oldies, Rock ´n Roll and even knows how to make parodies on popular people.
Since TEX has moved to Gmunden he has written several songs of his own, together with his wife Karin Rantschl - Schwaiger. In 1995 they started recording together.

TEX ROBINSON has been requested to perform at most of the large and famous festivals such as Bad Ischl, Jedenspeigen, Rauris, Hallein, Haag am Hausruck, Vienna and many more. Gigs at clubs, fairs, trucker and biker meetings in and out of Austria, as well as many engagements at CD-presentations or as a "special guest", are part of his schedule.

He has participated in several productions and has been a guest performer in well-known TV shows on channels such as RTL, ORF and the Local TV stations.

KARIN RANTSCHL-SCHWAIGER

graduated from the University of Linz with a Masters of Business Administration. She loves the language of Country Music as a means of expression, having gotten to know and love Country Music as an exchange student in Los Angeles. She says she " is allergic " to banal lyrics and commonplace words, and she loves languages, especially English.

Being TEX`s wife, manager, lyricist, song writer and duet partner, Karin tries to support TEX`s creativity and motivate him, while also handling the organizational and financial end of the business. She is his greatest fan but also his resolut critic.
